On September 17th your calendar says Arcadia is having our Back to School Night. This is true, however 3rd grade was able to do our Back to School Night on August 24th and I was able to meet most of you then. I will be sending a note home as well, but if you only have a 3rd grade student at Arcadia, you will not need to come to the Back to School Night. The back to school night on September 17th will be for 4th and 5th grades. If you were unable to make it to our Open House I would love to meet with you. Email or call me and we will set up a time to meet. I hope everyone is getting settled into the school schedule!
After spending our first week of school studying the book The Relatives Came, our relatives really did come join us at Arcadia! Just like in the book, the relatives came and read together, ate together, and just spent time together. Thank your for everyone who was able to join us! Below are some pictures from the event.
The President of the United States is addressing the children of the United States in regards to their success in school. This address will be televised from the White House on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 PST (12:00 EST). Our classroom will be watching this Presidential Address.
